These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by:

By making a booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services
Chez-Nous Äänekoski offers:
Short-term accommodation (chalet rental)
Breakfast and optional meal services
Optional services such as jacuzzi (hot tub), firewood, and activities
Additional services (food, snowmobile rental, firewood, hot tub, and other activities) are payable on site.
3. Booking and Payment Booking
Bookings may be made via:
Online platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com)
Direct contact (website, email, phone)
Payment Methods
Payments can be made via:
Credit/debit card (SumUp)
MobilePay
Cash
Deposit
A 25% deposit is required for direct bookings
This deposit is non-refundable
Balance Payment
The remaining balance and any additional services must be paid no later than the day of arrival
Non-Payment
In case of full or partial non-payment upon arrival, the owner reserves the right to refuse access to the chalet without refund of the deposit.
Late Payment
Late payments may incur additional fees. We reserve the right to initiate collection procedures if necessary.
Third-Party Platforms
For bookings made via third-party platforms, their payment terms apply.
4. Prices and Taxes
All prices include applicable VAT according to Finnish legislation (e.g. accommodation, food, and additional services may be subject to different VAT rates).
5. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in: from 15:00 (unless otherwise agreed)
Check-out: before 11:00
6. Late Check-out Penalties
Check-out time is strictly set at 11:00.
Late check-out will be charged €20 per started hour
In case of significant delay affecting incoming guests, an additional night may be charged
7. Cancellation Policy
Direct bookings:
The 25% deposit is non-refundable
Third-party bookings:
Platform policies apply
No-show / early departure
In case of no-show or cancellation after the scheduled arrival date, 100% of the stay will be charged.
No refunds will be issued for early departure.
8. House Rules
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the chalet and sauna
Smoking is allowed outside only
Smoking is allowed outside only
Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 08:00
Guests must respect neighbors and avoid excessive noise.
Pets
Pets are allowed for an additional fee of €15 per stay

Illegal Activities
Any illegal activity is strictly prohibited on the property.
Guest Limit
The number of guests must strictly match the number indicated in the booking. Any unauthorized additional guests may result in extra charges, immediate cancellation without refund, or refusal of access to the property.
9. Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required for:
Long stays
Events or special bookings
Excessive cleaning (very dirty chalet)
The deposit may be used to cover:
Property damage (furniture, jacuzzi, equipment)
Excessive cleaning (very dirty chalet)
Violation of house rules (e.g. smoking indoors)
Lost keys
Damage or loss of equipment (boat, bicycles, etc.)
10. Use of Facilities
Use of sauna, jacuzzi, and equipment is at your own risk.
Children must be supervised at all times
Guests must follow all safety instructions
The jacuzzi must be booked in advance and paid for.
Guests must follow safety rules.
Use of the jacuzzi under the influence of alcohol or drugs is at the guest’s own risk.
Misuse may result in additional cleaning or damage charges.
Fire Safety : Guests must comply with all fire safety instructions provided at the property.
Tampering with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, or safety equipment is strictly prohibited.
11. Weather Conditions (Important – Finland)
Guests acknowledge and accept local weather conditions:
Access road is maintained but conditions may vary
Winter tires are mandatory in winter season
Snow, ice, and extreme cold may occur
We are not responsible for issues caused by weather conditions.
12. Liability
Guests are strongly advised to have their own travel and personal liability insurance. Chez-Nous Äänekoski shall not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, damages, or loss of personal belongings during their stay.
Chez-Nous Äänekoski shall not be held liable for:
Loss or theft of personal belongings
Chez-Nous Äänekoski is not responsible for forgotten personal belongings left after departure.
Injuries resulting from improper use of facilities
Weather-related issues or force majeure
Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused during their stay, whether intentional or due to negligence.
Guests must immediately report any damage or issue occurring during their stay.
We shall not be held liable for failure or delay due to force majeure events, including but not limited to extreme weather, power outages, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
